We are a registered charity based in Lupset and our social mission is to ensure that all children with disabilities have the opportunities to achieve their aspirations in life.
In pursuit of our social mission, we have developed the following key aims:
Improving the lives of families with disabled children
Developing a count me in society
We do this by providing the following services:
Family support
Our family support services includes carers of children and adults with disabilities too.
One-to-one support
Telephone and email support
Group meetings
Training on specific issues (e.g. stress management and knowing their rights)
Attendance at multi-agency meetings
Advocacy Services
Social events (including our Halloween and Christmas parties)
General advocacy
Education
We provide educational programmes addressing Disability, bullying and racism. Our hope is that if children, from a young age, know how to better treat those with disabilities or from different cultures, we will have a more accepting and inclusive society in the future.
